Light/Dark (Columbia, SC)
I can't believe it's been almost 10 years since I took this picture.
My kids (who were teenagers, not actual kids lol) and I went to Riverfront Park in downtown Columbia, SC. We walked along the path and took in the river view and wildlife (turtles, mostly). It was a nice day to enjoy the weather and spend time together. I took a few pictures as we went along. I thought I had the shots I wanted.
On the way back to the car, I noticed this bridge. Most of the time I photograph the side or tops of them. This time, though, the underside of the bridge caught my attention. I tried to bend down to get the angle I wanted but that didn't work. Squatting didn't do it either. So, much to my daughters' embarrassment, I decided that lying down was the only way to get the picture in my head to the camera.
Totally worth it! What do you think?
